As an elf in Alfheim who has made himself vigilante and ranger of the forest, his ambitions lead him to search for the legendary City of Gold. He tried relentlessly to find the three pieces of map that lead to the City. He never accoplished his quest, before he was enlisted into the services of the Beast. Whereupon he met Cassandra, a shadow elf who fell in love with him. She begged him to stop this crazy crusade with the Beast, but Blackthorn continued to harm the forests he once saved. He hasn't seen Cassandra since.
