Extinct Families

Ansimont

The First reference to the Ansimonts, a ruling clan of the Eastern Ereada, occurs in 95 BC when they led a "southern alliance" that was defeated by the Eastwind clan under Ansel Eastwind the Elder.
The next reference is in 76 BC when a daughter of the Ansimont ruling family married the son of Ansel the Elder upon Ansel's death and the rise the afore-mentioned son to head the Eastwind clan.
The Ansimont family enters more detailed records in 10 AC when Charles I Ansimont The Black (who briefly became king following the death of Ansel I Darokin) swears loyalty to Ansel Eastwind the Younger, the future Ansel I, after Ansel the Younger aids the Ansimonts without the blessing of Ansel's brother, the clan head.

Eastwind

The Eastwind were a clan of Ereada around modern-day Favaro. The first historic record of an individual is of Attel Eastwind, born 120 BC, who disappeared while on a northern campaign in 100 BC. His brother Ansel Eastwind The Elder leads the Eastwind Clan to victory over a Southern alliance led by the Ansimonts in 95 BC. In 83 BC Mithras Attleson, leader of the Inlashar refugees, claims to be the son of Attel Eastwind. Ansel Eastwind the Elder dies in 76 BC, his eldest son takes control of the clan and marries a daughter of the Ansimonts' ruling family.
The record is unclear from there until when in 7 BC Ansel Eastwind the Younger, is born to the current head of the Eastwind Clan. Ansel the younger's father dies in 8 AC and his elder brother takes on the role of head of the Eastwind Clan. Ansel's forces, without his brother's blessing, aid the Ansimont Clan in 10 AC and Charles Ansimont swears loyalty to Ansel. The Attleson Clan joins Ansel in 12 AC. Ansel and his allies are declared exiles in 17 AC and forced to flee rather than fight fellow Eraedan's in 18 AC. His brother is killed by orcs in 20 AC, coucil of elders takes over. Ansel declares himself king of Darokin (see Darokin, q.v.) in 21/22 AC rather than try to retake Eraedan rulership.
