For a Dwarven clan, the Skarrad's are radically progressive and unconventional, which leads to contrast with the ultra-conservative Clan Hurwarf.

Tharis (daughter of Thori of the Wyrwarf's) has been clan head since her husband Duro Nordenshield died in AC990. Other prominent members include Duro and Tharis's son Bolto Nordenshield, the Ambassador to Karameikos, and Kori Fire-Eye (daughter of Filia), Duro's young cousin (she was born AC 980).
